Economic Impacts of North Carolina's Childcare Crisis

A recently released statewide report estimates that insufficient childcare availability is costing North Carolina $5.65 billion in lost economic activity each year.  Representatives from NC Child will discuss how the childcare coverage gap in North Carolina is not only a barrier to parents' ability to participate in the labor force, but also a hindrance to the state's potential for growth and success.
