Dr. Jeff Cox, President
North Carolina Community College System

Dr. Jeffrey A. Cox is the 11th president of the North Carolina Community College System (NCCS) and brings three decades of academic and leadership experience.  Cox was named president of the NCCS in April 2023 after having served as president of Wilkes Community College (WCC) since 2014.  Prior to his role at WCC, Cox served as superintendent for Alleghany County Schools for nine years.

April is Community College Month and provides a valuable moment to reflect on the vital role that community colleges play as regional economic drivers.
